Last week was a bit of a washout for me and the elves, as what started as a cold turned into probable flu. I could be being melodramatic and it was just a bad cold, but I felt poorly enough to spend a couple of days on the sofa, with a bottle of day nurse and several boxes of tissues, so not a lot of creativity happened in the moshi-studio. But this week has been much better and the sun came out so I felt all springy too, so lots of colour. Though because of the slow start I think I will need a bit more time before the shop gets an update. I still have a few things I need to do, and some ideas to try out. Anyway, hope everyone else's week has been good and that the weather is as nice with you as it has been here!

Fluffy jumpers..
for tomorrow's shop update! I am enjoying making these and glad that I persevered with the pattern. It needed a smaller crochet hook than I use for my berets, but though fiddly, it has been worth it.

A shirt story
This week has been busy, so I will be updating the shop tomorrow. We've been making shirt and tie sets. I love the colour possibilities of mixing cotton prints with Liberty fabric ties.

this weeks sewing
a muted palette this week inspired by the colours of dusty roses and old chintz. I will be updating the shop at 5pm this evening, UK time.

Back home
We have just got back from a gorgeous, relaxing, battery recharging trip to the highlands of Scotland. My eyes are full of the amazing, awe inspiring scenery and the power of mountains and lochs. I have visited haunted pubs and misty valleys, seen seals in the harbour of Malaig, and little frogs on the side of Loch Morlich. Caught up with friends I haven't seen for ages and yet it felt like only last week. So I am happy and inspired and feel like I should make some kilts for the elves....
