I have an issue at the moment. I closed my list for July and said to everyone who asked that I would have space for a few more in August, but lots of people preempted August and started putting in requests early. So now I realistically cannot take any more this month. I feel so bad about disappointing people, as everyone's support means so much to me, but I cannot think how to be fairer about this. If I have too many custom orders it takes up too much of my time and I cannot make new things to put in the shop, and then some people only want one thing, while others ask for four items. What is the best thing to do?
Feedback greatly appreciated,
Hilary and her busy elves xx

Mary, Mary quite contrary..
How does your garden grow?
Well, quite prolifically actually, and as we are having a little bit of proper sun this week and it finally feels summery in Blighty I desperately need to do some work in my garden which has been sorely neglected due to rain! This means that I will update the shop Monday instead, probably about 10pm ish, which I hope is helpful for most time zones.
Apart from that we have been sewing like crazy and trying to fulfill some custom requests, so a little hiatus will give me chance to hopefully enjoy the garden and finish off poppers and stuff.

It is nice to be able to have the back door open.
Mulling over some ideas.
Lily modeling a new blouse.
Wardrobe elements.

This week in the Moshi Atelier
It's been a busy week in the moshi studio. Inspiration struck early with the help of Lola and some scraps of pretty fabrics that needed something nice to happen to them So we made some sweet aprons and built an outfit around them.
Then it was back to some of my favourites and a new batch of Annie Hall shirts and some trousers to go with them.
The colour combination of Red and turquoise is still on my mind after last week's Frida Kahlo inspired looks, so I have continued on the theme a little.
There will be a shop update tomorrow evening, that's Sunday 22nd July.

Shop Talk...
I have been busy getting the elves back to work, and will be updating the shop on Saturday, about 5pm UK time.
Blythecon Berlin
It is starting to feel a bit more normal in the Moshi studio after our escapades in Berlin. Blythecon was brilliant and though the day was extremely hot and I thought I would melt I think like I spent most of the day smiling because I had such a great time. Dolly people are lovely, and it was so good to meet in the flesh people who I have only spoken to on the internet before. Berlin too was a revelation. I have not visited the city since I was 19 and the wall was still up and my husband and I fell in love with the city. There is such a wonderful atmosphere and I will definitely be visiting again soon. I got to speak my rubbish german to lots of people, I hope I made myself understood and I apologize retrospectively for the terrible mistakes I made. It is a long time since I had to use it so thats my excuse. The event was brilliantly organized and I cannot imagine what hard work must have gone into making it such an excellent day.
